Product Overview

Stronger Joints. Better Fabric. Less Downtime.

RJK Pneumatic Hand Splicers are designed to replace traditional knotters on existing winding machines. Splicing produces a joint that is smoother and stronger than a knot — resulting in better fabric appearance and fewer problems in downstream processing.

We offer two models: the Hand Splicer for Ply Yarn (cotton and blended yarns) and the Hand Splicer for Filament Yarn (polyester and viscose filament). Both models can be retrofitted on existing machinery with minimal setup.

Splicing produces a joint that is smoother and finer than a knot — with 70–90% of the parent yarn's strength — eliminating the bulky knot that causes weaving defects and loom stops.

Machine Features

Built-in Features for Consistent Splice Quality

Ply Yarn

Automatic Pneumatic Circuit

Ensures consistent splice quality with every cycle — eliminating operator variation.

Ply Yarn

Air Tracking System (ATS)

Allows positioning at any location along the machine — operators reach any spindle quickly.

Ply Yarn

Gripper System for Tail Ends

Collects and holds yarn tail ends during the splice cycle — keeping the workspace clean.

Filament

Highly Finished Yarn Contact Surfaces

Smooth, precision-finished surfaces prevent filament snags and yarn damage.

Filament

Special Frictioners for Parallel Fiber Join

Enables parallel fibers to be joined cleanly without filament damage.

Filament

Cemented Carbide Cutting Scissors

Long-life hardened cutting edges ensure clean, consistent yarn cuts over millions of cycles.

Ply Yarn

Flexible Mounting Options

Compatible with ATS, four-wheel trolleys, and rail-mount configurations.

Filament

Hard Chrome Plated Balloon Breaker

Reduces balloon diameter during high-speed winding — improving package build uniformity.

Compatible Machines

Works on All Major Textile Machines

Cone Winding Machines

Retrofit directly on existing cone winding frames — compatible with RJK and other major brands.

Assembly Winding Machines

Ideal for assembly and doubling winding machines where multi-ply yarn joining is frequent.

Precision Winding Machines

Delivers smooth, low-profile splices that pass through traverse guides without snagging.

Two-for-One Twisters (TFO)

Especially effective on TFO machines — four-wheel trolley mount provides maximum flexibility.

Warping Machines

Used for clean yarn joining on warping machines — reducing beam breaks and improving warp quality.

Air Supply Requirements

What You Need to Operate the Splicer

Dry Compressed Air

Air must be free of moisture — install a dryer or moisture trap if needed.

Oil-Free Air

No oil mist in the air supply — prevents contamination of yarn and splice surfaces.

Ply Yarn: 6–7 kg/cm²

Constant pressure throughout the cycle for reliable splice quality.

Filament Yarn: 6 kg/cm²

Stable pressure supply for consistent filament joining performance.

Why Choose RJK

Why Textile Mills Choose RJK Hand Splicers

Superior Splice Strength

70–90% of parent yarn strength — far stronger than traditional knotted joins.

Easy Retrofit Installation

No major machine modification needed — fits on existing winding installations.

Two Dedicated Models

Separate optimised models for ply yarn and filament yarn — not a one-size-fits-all compromise.

Compatible with All Major Brands

Retrofits on RJK and other major brands of winding, twisting, and warping machines.
